Tamiati
Equinox 7
Equinox 7
The Equinox 7 reflects Tamiati's broader philosophy: that meaningful design emerges through layered collaboration between cultures, disciplines, and material histories. Its surface draws on an Ablaq-inspired stone composition, a technique shaped over centuries by movement across regions and architectural traditions. This is where Tamiati's practice reveals itself. Materials become most expressive when they are allowed to remain honest, the veining within stone, the unevenness of straw, the pores within wood, and the marks left by the hand are not flaws to be corrected, but records of time, formation, and human presence.Through this convergence of materials and techniques, the console stands as a quiet expression of how cultures, crafts, and material memories can gather within a single object.
